Calling High School Male Choruses!

The University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, the University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club are pleased to present the Annual Male Vocal Arts Day on January 13, 2019. Because of the tremendous success of this event in the past, we are once again excited to provide this exciting opportunity for high school singers.

Male Vocal Arts Day will be a day devoted to fostering strength and passion for music.  At the beginning of the day, each student will receive a Vocal Arts Day t-shirt and new music, which will be learned on-site and is theirs to keep.  The day will be filled with rehearsals alongside the Glee Club college students and with vocal workshops designed specifically to appeal to the male and female high school singers.  It will also provide the opportunity for the students to meet other singers from all over the state. The day will culminate in a concert at the Historic Hill auditorium in which the UM Glee Clubs will accompany the high school singers, and which will also feature individual performances by the Men's and Women's Glee Clubs.

If you think that your school’s choir would be interested in participating in this years MVAD please contact our MVAD manager James Walrad at walrad@umich.edu.
